Job Description:

A One Medical Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist provides an exceptional experience for patients by providing venipuncture, dispensary responsibilities, and other clinical support services. They are an ambassador for patients in office, with a mastery of human connection and a strong drive for service, removing barriers to care and resulting in a truly exceptional in-office patient experience. The role involves providing best in class venipuncture services, maintaining high standards of in-office care, and caring for members beyond the lab room through patient messages, lab case follow-ups, and clerical duties. The Specialist will also use impeccable communication skills in all patient interactions, ensure a fluid and positive in-office experience, and contribute to team development through rounding, team huddles, and problem solving. The Specialist will be the first point of contact for patient feedback and provide other support as requested by Leads, Office Manager, or in-office providers. The role requires an active phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in computer technology. Experience working on collaborative teams, displaying confidence and instilling trust during the collection process, and persisting through change are also essential. The role is a full-time position (40 hrs/week) with 8 hr shifts generally taking place between 7:30am-5:30pm based in Santa Monica, CA.
