Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Providence Saint Jude Medical Center on a per diem basis. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are looking for flexibility and variety in their work schedule.Job Summary:The Labor and Delivery Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our team of experienced healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics, with experience in antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, including administering medications, performing vital sign checks, and assisting with deliveries.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
• Participate in unit-specific initiatives to promote quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charts and other documentation.Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with a strong background in obstetrics.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications.What We Offer:
